Besides her big league films, Sonakshi bags an endorsement with Hrithik.

Besides her big league films, Sonakshi bags an endorsement with Hrithik.

Whether it's films or endorsements, the striking Sonakshi Sinha is on a signing spree. The actress who endorses Dyna soap and will soon launch bleach brand Fe, has now bagged Provogue with Hrithik Roshan. “Having to represent a women’s ware where the male counterpart is Hrithik Roshan especially at this point of my career is fantastic. I am happy to be the brand ambassador of Provogue as I believe I can bring confidence and spunk to the brand,” said the much in demand actress.

Even otherwise life has taken a huge turn for the one-film-old actress. She has signed several top league films with A-list actors. “Life has been on a whirlwind since Dabangg, but I am enjoying every moment. It's great to be working all the time,” says the actress, who has just come back from Chandigarh where she was shooting for the first schedule of Shirish Kunder's Joker.

Presently, she is busy with her endorsements, and at the same time is preparing herself for her untitled film with Kamal Haasan for which she starts shooting in the first week of April in London.

“The film is in Tamil but I cannot learn the language as everything was finalised in a very short time. I am gearing up for the shoot by watching Tamil films, especially Kamal Haasan's, to get a hang of regional movies,” says Sonakshi, who plays a very strong character as Haasan's wife, and will be seen in a parallel lead with the actor in the film.

As for reports saying that she will not do any intimate or steamy scenes in the film, Sonakshi says that she has set some rules for herself, which apply to all the assignments she takes up. Be it her next, Prabhu Deva's action film with Akshay Kumar, or Race 2 opposite Saif Ali Khan or for that matter even Kick and Dabangg 2.

“I have made my point very clear, and no one has taken any offence to it,” says Shatrughan Sinha's daughter firmly.

With a steadily rising career like her's, she had to forgo celebrating Holi. The busy actress couldn't afford any stubborn colours being left on one of the hottest faces around! “Holi is one of my favourite festivals because of the colour, fun and frolic associated with it. But, for the first time, I couldn't enjoy the festival because my assignments would go for a toss if I had colour all over me!” she laughs.

Elizabeth Taylor,Oscar winner, Legendary Actress, Dead At 79

One of Hollywood's most legendary beauties, Elizabeth Taylor, died on Wednesday (March 23) at the age of 79 after spending two months in a Los Angeles hospital for treatment of congestive heart failure. One of the brightest stars in the history of the American movie business, Taylor starred in a string of hit movies in the 1950s and 60s, including "Giant," "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" and "Cleopatra," while becoming an international sex symbol and object of tabloid fascination for her string of love affairs with leading men.

In addition to being a fashion icon, perfume mogul and movie legend, later in life Taylor also became one of the leading advocates for victims of AIDS, raising millions for research and treatment of the disease in the wake of the 1985 death of her good friend the actor Rock Hudson, who died from the illness.

According to reports, Taylor died in the early morning on Wednesday surrounded by her four children — Michael Wilding, Christopher Wilding, Liza Todd and Maria Burton — at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

"My mother was an extraordinary woman who lived life to the fullest with great passion, humor and love," said Michael Wilding in a statement read on "Good Morning America." "Though her loss is devastating to those of us who held her so close and so dear, we will always be inspired by her enduring contributions to our world."

Born Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor in London, England, on February 27, 1932, to American parents, Taylor left England with her family on the eve of World War II and relocated to Los Angeles. Already turning heads for her beauty, Taylor took a screen test as a child and was cast in her first film at age 10, 1942's "There's One Born Every Minute."

She followed with movies such as "Lassie Come Home," "Jane Eyre" and 1944's hit film "National Velvet." She continued working steadily throughout the late 1940s and '50s, emerging as one of the world's great beauties thanks to her piercing violet-colored eyes and alluring come-hither gaze.

Playing opposite James Dean in 1956's "Giant," Taylor emerged as a star in her own right, and she was nominated for an Academy Award for her role in 1957's "Raintree County." She was nominated again the next year for "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," losing again, but earned yet another nomination in 1959 for "Suddenly, Last Summer."

After three straight losses, Taylor finally got her award in 1960 for her peerless performance in "Butterfield 8," in which she played Gloria Wandrous, a call girl who gets entangled with a married man.

One of her most famous films was the 1963 epic "Cleopatra," one of the most expensive movies of all time when it was filmed. She met her future husband Richard Burton on the set and the two began a torrid affair that scandalized Hollywood because of Burton's married status. Burton would later become her fifth (and sixth) husband after the couple divorced in 1974 after 10 years of marriage and then remarried in 1975 only to divorce again the next year.

She won a second Oscar in 1966 for her role in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" That would mark the end of her star status in Hollywood. Although she continued to sporadically make movie and TV appearances in the 1970s and '80s, Taylor would never again reach such pinnacles of fame.

The actress, who married eight times in total and became a confidant of late singer Michael Jackson, supporting him during his child molestation cases in the late 1990s and early 2000s, suffered a brain tumor in 1997 and would continue to battle a variety of ailments throughout the next decade and a half.

Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor was born in Hampstead, a wealthy district of North West London, the second child of Francis Lenn Taylor (1897–1968) and Sara Viola Warmbrodt (1895–1994), who were Americans residing in England. Taylor's older brother, Howard Taylor, was born in 1929.

Her parents were originally from Arkansas City, Kansas. Her father was an art dealer and her mother a former actress whose stage name was "Sara Sothern". Sothern retired from the stage when she and Francis Taylor married in 1926 in New York City. Taylor's two first names are in honor of her paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Mary (Rosemond) Taylor. A dual citizen of the UK and the U.S., she was born a British subject through her birth on British soil and an American citizen through her parents.[citation needed] She reportedly sought, in 1965, to renounce her United States citizenship, to wit "Though never accepted by the State Department, Liz renounced in 1965. Attempting to shield much of her European income from U.S. taxes, Liz wished to become solely a British citizen. According to news reports at the time, officials denied her request when she failed to complete the renunciation oath, refusing to say that she renounced 'all allegiance to the United States of America'."

At the age of three, Taylor began taking ballet lessons with Vaccani. Shortly before the beginning of World War II, her parents decided to return to the United States to avoid hostilities. Her mother took the children first, arriving in New York in April 1939,[5] while her father remained in London to wrap up matters in the art business, arriving in November.[6] They settled in Los Angeles, California, where Sara's family, the Warmbrodts, were then living.

Through Hedda Hopper, the Taylors were introduced to Andrea Berens, a wealthy English socialite and also fiancée of Cheever Cowden, chairman and major stockholder of Universal Pictures in Hollywood. Berens insisted that Sara bring Elizabeth to see Cowden who, she was adamant, would be dazzled by Elizabeth's breathtaking dark beauty; she was born with a mutation that caused double rows of eyelashes, which enhanced her appearance on camera. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer soon took interest in the British youngster as well but she failed to secure a contract with them after an informal audition with producer John Considine had shown that she couldn't sing. However, on 18 September 1941, Universal Pictures signed Elizabeth to a six-month renewable contract at $100 a week.

Taylor appeared in her first motion picture at the age of nine in There's One Born Every Minute, her only film for Universal Pictures. Less than six months after she signed with Universal, her contract was reviewed by Edward Muhl, the studio's production chief. Muhl met with Taylor's agent, Myron Selznick (brother of David), and Cheever Cowden. Muhl challenged Selznick's and Cowden's constant support of Taylor: "She can't sing, she can't dance, she can't perform. What's more, her mother has to be one of the most unbearable women it has been my displeasure to meet." Universal cancelled Taylor's contract just short of her tenth birthday in February 1942. Nevertheless on 15 October 1942, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer signed Taylor to $100 a week for up to three months to appear as "Priscilla" in the film Lassie Come Home.

Hermes Birkin bag introduce

The Birkin bag is a handmade purse by Hermès and named after actress and singer Jane Birkin. The bag is a symbol of wealth due to its high price and elusiveness to the public.

Its prices range from $9,000 to $150,000. Costs escalate according to the type of materials. The bags are distributed to Hermès boutiques on unpredictable schedules and in limited quantities, creating scarcity and, intended or unintended, exclusivity.

 History

In 1981, Hermès chief executive Jean-Louis Dumas was seated next to Jane Birkin on a flight from Paris to London. She had just placed her straw bag in the overhead compartment of her seat, but the contents fell to the ground, leaving her to scramble to replace the contents. Birkin explained to Monsieur Dumas that it had been difficult to find a leather weekend bag she liked. In 1984, he created a black supple leather bag for her, based on an 1892 design. She used the bag for herself then later changed her mind. Nevertheless, the bag has since become an icon.

 Design

Birkin bags are sold in a range of sizes. Each one may be made to order with different customer-chosen hides, color, and hardware fixtures. There are other individual options, such as diamond-encrusting.

  • The bag also has a variety of hides such as calf leather, ostrich, crocodile, and lizard. One of the most expensive is saltwater crocodile skin. Bags with smaller scales cost more than those with larger scales. The bag is lined with goat-skin. The color matches the exterior. Prices for the Birkin bag depend on the color, hardware fixtures, and skin.
  • Sizes are 25, 30, 35, and 40 centimeters. The 50- and 55-centimeter bags are meant for travelling. It also comes in a variety of colors such as pink, red, brown, baby blue, navy blue, orange, white, black, and golden tan.
  • The bag has a lock and keys. The keys are enclosed in a leather lanyard known as a clochette, carried by looping through a handle. The bag is locked by closing the top flaps over buckle loops, wrapping the buckle straps, or closing the lock on the front hardware. Locks and keys are number-coded. Earlier locks only bore one number on the bottom of the lock. In more recent years, Hermès has added a second number under the Hermes stamp of the lock. These numbers for locks can be the same for hundreds of locks as they are batch numbers in which the locks were made.
  • The metallic hardware (the lock, keys, buckle hardware, and base studs) are plated with gold or palladium to prevent tarnishing. Hardware is updated regularly to maintain the top quality available in the industry at time of production. The metal lock may be covered with leather as a custom option. Diamonds are another custom addition.
  • Hermès offers a "spa treatment" – a reconditioning for overly used bags.
  • A "Shooting Star" Birkin has a stamp shaped like a shooting star adjacent to the "Hermès, Paris Made in France" stamp; this is in gold or silver to match the hardware and embossing. Rarely, the stamp is blind or colorless, if the bag is made of one or two leathers on which Hermes does not use metallic stamping. Birkins or other Hermès bags can sometimes be made by independent craftsmen for "personal use" once a year. Every bag bears the stamp of the craftsperson who made the bag. These identifications vary widely but are not different for every bag made. More than one craftsman's stamp on a bag is not uncommon because the stamp is not a serial reference. Fonts and stamping orders may vary depending on the craftsman.

 Craftsmanship

The bags are handmade in France by expert artisans. The company's signature saddle stitching, developed in the 1800s, is another distinctive feature. Each bag is hand-sewn, buffed, painted, and polished, taking several days to finish. An average bag is created in 48 hours. Leathers are obtained from different tanners in France, resulting in varying smells and textures. Because of the individual craftsmanship, other details of the bags may not all match. The company justifies the cost of the Birkin bag, compared to other bags, based on the meticulous craftsmanship and scarcity.

Demand

Although the Birkin bag is free of logos, it is one of the most recognized bags in the fashion industry and by the public.

It is highly coveted and, for several years, was reputed for having a waiting list of up to 6 years – the longest wait for any bag in history. In April 2010, Hermès announced that the waiting list would no longer exist, implying that it is potentially available to all.

Kimora Lee Simmons arrived at the Alain L. Locke Elementary School in Harlem this morning wearing a cobalt blue Hermes Birkin. The elementary school event Kimora Lee Simmons attended was the Make A Clean Difference campaign through Bounty. The campaign aims to raise awareness for the need to have a clean classroom. Bounty found that 71% of teachers are bringing their own cleaning supplies to school. The campaign is bringing to light the need for classroom cleaning supplies. Kimora Lee Simmons helped clean the school today with parent volunteers and will be helping Bounty raise awareness about the need for more cleaning supplies in the classroom.

Kimora Lee Simmons Hermes Birkin is a classic, double top handle tote that not only fits right into the Lady Bag trend, which was a fall 2010 trend and looks to be a fall 2011, but the handbag also fits perfectly into the bright colored handbag trend.

Cobalt blue is one of the more popular handbag colors for spring 2011 and it is an easier color to wear than orange or candy pink. Kimora Lee Simmons can easily pair her cobalt blue Hermes Birkin with any color combination and the color moves easily from casual, daytime wear to dressier office attire or special event attire.

The Hermes Birkin, like the one Kimora Lee Simmons was spotted wearing today, can be found at Hermes Boutiques nationwide.

Singer Rihanna Poses Nude for Ad Campaign

RihannaNivea cosmetics have recruited Rihanna to be the face of their latest promotional campaign.

The 23-year-old singer posed nude for Nivea's new ad campaign, 'The 100 Years of Skincare for Life,' which commemorates the brand's 100th anniversary this year. The official promotion will launch in May, in conjunction with the kick-off of Rihanna's 'Loud' world tour, which will now be sponsored by Nivea.

"Over the past 100 years, Nivea has been an iconic skincare brand across the world that is built on the trust of our consumers," Nivea board member, Markus Pinger said in a statement. "We are excited to have Rihanna supporting us in our celebration and building a new generation of fans."

The last time Rihanna was in the news for posing nude, the headlines weren't as flattering. Candid photos that RiRi sent of herself to someone with her cell phone surfaced in May of 2009. The images surfaced three months after she was infamously assaulted by Chris Brown the night before the Grammys, leading people to believe he leaked the photos, which he later denied.

In addition to prepping for her upcoming tour, Rihanna recently wrapped up a series of high-profile appearances at the Grammys, where she was joined by Drake to perform her single 'What's My Name?' and the NBA All-Star Game halftime show where she performed with both Drake and Kanye West. Following her performance at the All-Star Game, Rihanna rang in her 23rd birthday with a lavish, star-studded party sponsored by Nivea.

Heidi Montag Loves Hermes Birkin and Hermes Kelly

When you think of celebrities who own Hermes bags, Victoria Beckham should spring first to your mind.

Well Heidi Montag is giving Victoria a run for her money with a collection of 6 Hermes bags ranging from Birkin's, Kelly's and a black Haut à Courroies.

When you think of Hermes, you think of understated elegance.

When you think of Heidi, you think of over-the-top photo ops, over plumped lips, and bandage dresses.

I remember when I first saw Heidi with a Hermes bag I assumed the bag was a replica hermes bag, but when she's banking $100,000 per episode on The Hills, I think it's safe to say she's carrying the real thing.

Heidi appears to be trying to buy class, which is ironic considering she's carrying a HAC whilst kissing her husband who's showing off her Playboy cover.

No one, not even Heidi will put me off wanting to own a Hermes Birkin or a Hermes Kelly.

It will continue to be top of my list of things to buy before I die.

Is Christina Aguilera's New Boyfriend Matthew Rutler Bad For Her?

These days, it's easy to forget that Christina Aguilera is a four-time Grammy Award-winning singer who has sold over 50 million albums. The pop star is now better known for forgetting the words to the national anthem, stumbling on stage, being drunk at parties, the failure of her most recent album, the dismal reception of her feature film debut, a canceled tour, rumors of very inappropriate behavior at family functions and now an arrest for public drunkenness.

The past year was a tumultuous one for the 'Beautiful' singer. Christina Aguilera simply can't seem to do anything right, and with each new headline, her reputation as one of the most talented vocalists in music takes a hit. Critics frequently complain of auto-tuned pop stars and divas that are more style than substance, but we all know Aguilera is the real thing. She can sing just about anyone under the table and is known as a brilliant live performer, so how have things gotten to this point?

Friends of the star are pointing fingers at Christina Aguilera's new beau, Matthew Rutler, saying he is a "bad influence on her."

Christina Aguilera met Matthew Rutler on the set of 'Burlesque,' where the 25-year-old was working as a set assistant. While not much is known about Rutler, he has been a constant presence (or active participant) in many of Christina Aguilera's most recent embarrassments.

There have been plenty of rumors about booze-filled nights and drunken dalliances, but one thing is for sure: Rutler was driving erratically through West Hollywood last night, with Aguilera in the passenger seat, when cops pulled the couple over at around 2:45AM. Officers arrested Rutler at the scene for misdemeanor driving under the influence and set his bail at $30,000.

On-scene authorities determined that Christina Aguilera was "extremely intoxicated," so much so that she was apparently unable to take care of herself and was taken into custody for public intoxication.

A source close to the singer told TMZ, "If the driver had not been arrested for DUI, [Christina] would have never been in trouble."

"Her friends are fed up," a separate source recently told Us Weekly of Aguilera's recent behavior. "Nobody can get through to her."

Friends of the singer have reportedly been pressuring her to enter treatment for alcohol-related problems.

The arrests come less than a week after reports that Aguilera and Rutler had sex in a bathroom at a family gathering, leading those close to the singer to label her recent behavior "trashy," and a little more than a month after another story alleging the singer was found passed out in Oscar-nominated actor Jeremy Renner's bed at his birthday party.

According Us Weekly's source, Renner relayed the story to friends at the Golden Globe Awards, saying, "I run up and open the door and I'm like, 'Um, hi. What are you doing?' She [Aguilera] just starts slurring. Her boyfriend was rubbing her back. Who comes to someone's birthday party that they don't know and gets in their bed? My parents were there!"

Another source said of the singer's behavior, "She acted like a fool. [Rutler] was shushing her and telling her to go to sleep." The source said Aguilera was "a mess."

Aguilera's private behavior has seemingly, and sadly, been impacting her professional life as well. Because she is uniformly known as one of the best singers in the world, Aguilera has been performing 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at major sporting events for years, and in the past she has routinely delivered flawless takes on the national anthem. At this year's Super Bowl, however, she found herself in hot water after botching the lyrics.

Soon after, she released a statement to the Associated Press apologizing for the snafu, saying, "I got so caught up in the moment of the song that I lost my place. I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through."

Then, just a few weeks later, at the end of an all-star tribute to Aretha Franklin at the Grammys, the singer, who in all fairness sounded fantastic during her performance, stumbled and was only able to stay on her feet by grabbing onto her mic stand.

While it seems like a minor accident, the kind of thing that could happen to anyone wearing a long gown and high heels, the stumble overshadowed Aguilera's performance and became a topic of conversation following the awards. The buzz from backstage at the Grammys, however, was far more disquieting.

"No one knows what's going on with her, but whatever it is, it isn't good," a Grammy insider, who was backstage at the event, told PopEater's Rob Shuter following the tumble. "She was acting very erratic backstage before her performance and wouldn't let anyone into her dressing room before the show began. Something is very wrong."

After a difficult 2010 that saw the singer divorce husband Jordan Bratman, cancel a planned summer tour after initial ticket sales proved dismal and watch her long-in-the-works album 'Bionic' bomb with both critics and fans, the only constant in her life has been Rutler. And while no one is suggesting that anyone is responsible for a 30-year-old woman other than herself, it's hard not to wonder if Rutler's influence has been a positive one. After all, barely four years ago, Aguilera was headlining the top-grossing tour by a female artist and earning raves from her peers for her live performances instead of sneers.

Music legend Patti Smith told Rolling Stone (via Open Salon) that Aguilera's stirring 2007 Grammy performance of James Brown's 'It's a Man's Man's Man's World' was "one of the best performances that I've ever seen ... I sat and watched it, and at the end, I just involuntarily leapt to my feet. It was amazing."

The superstar vocalist Smith praised is the Aguilera we all know and love. Let's hope this latest bit of trouble will open the singer's eyes to what really matters in her life and she takes the appropriate steps to get her professional and personal matters on track so she can get back to doing what she does best -- blowing the roof off arenas around the world with that one-in-a-million voice.

Christina Aguilera’s Balenciaga Motorcycle Bag

Christina Aguilera hit a style home run at a recent Yankees game, sporting a cream-colored Balenciaga Motorcycle Bag that certainly dressed up her otherwise casual, sporty attire. Nice to see that this instant classic bag is still enjoying its day in the sun. The stylish leather bag and its mini buckles look great year-round, whether you’re hitting the club or a baseball game.

The recent it bag on the celebrity scene has turned into a classic must have for everyone. It is simple and very versatile for all! Who does Christina Aguilera love more? Will the verdict lead to being her Balenciaga bag that she is clutching so tight (who could blame her?) or her husband standing at her side hand in hand.

Headscarf and a
handbag is a perfect afternoon with the hubby trying to escape paparazzi snapping their photo. Aguilera’s Balenciaga is costing approximately $1200 for the medium size seen on her arm.

Love the bag, love the color, love the summer scene, love that fab headscarf and love the hubby. You go girl... throw on that handbag
and some sunglasses for the road and get going to lunch!
